The Greater Ekofisk Area is located 300 kilometers southwest of Stavanger, in the southern part of the North Sea. The area consists of four ConocoPhillips operated fields: Ekofisk, Eldfisk, Embla and Tor.

Two export pipelines are running from the Ekofisk Complex to terminals in Teesside, England (oil and NGLs) and Emden, Germany (dry gas), respectively.

In addition, the company has assets in fields operated by co-venturers, including the Heidrun, Troll, Visund, Oseberg, Huldra, Alvheim and Grane fields.
