Through its activities in Norway ConocoPhillips aims to be a good citizen and contributor to the Norwegian society. The company primarily wants to achieve this goal through responsible, safe and good management of our oil and gas resources. The company’s commitment is also reflected by our sponsorship of culture, sports and youth work, which are important building blocks in the communities.

The company has signed a number of cooperation agreements within sports, culture and associations locally, regionally and nationally. ConocoPhillips is the main sponsor of the Havørn Sports Club in Tananger. The company also makes a considerable contribution to the exchange program between Tananger ungdomsskole and Northfield school in Teesside, UK. 

ConocoPhillips is a sponsor of a wide range of cultural events, including being a main sponsor of the Nordland Music Festival in Bodø in Northern Norway.

In 2007 ConocoPhillips started a cooperation with Rogaland Theater in Stavanger. The cooperation with Rogaland Theatre is the company's largest cultural sponsorship in Stavanger.

From 2010 the company also has a partnership agreement with the Norwegian Opera and Ballet in Oslo.

The company wants to be regarded as a key player in Norwegian and Stavanger society, and has therefore been actively involved as the main sponsor of the Beach Volleyball World Tour in Stavanger since the start in 1999.

ConocoPhillips has been co-operating with the Norwegian Petroleum Museum in Stavanger since the opening in 1999. In 2011 the partnership was renewed for another ten years - until 2021.

ConocoPhillips wants to contribute to good causes in the community, both locally and nationally. We mainly do this through long-term cooperation agreements with sports clubs, cultural organizations, educational institutions and organisations for nature and the environment.  In addition to this, ConocoPhillips also provides one-off support for teams, organisations, groups and associations.
