ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS har levert plan for utbygging og drift for Eldfisk Nord-prosjektet

STAVANGER/SANDEFJORD – I dag har ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS, operatør for Ekofisk-området sammen med lisenspartnere, levert plan for utbygging og drift for Eldfisk Nord-prosjektet til Olje- og energidepartementet.  

Ytterligere ressurser i Ekofisk-området realiseres gjennom Eldfisk Nord-prosjektet. Utbyggings- konseptet består av tre 6-brønns havbunnsrammer der 14 brønner er planlagt, ni av brønnene er produsenter mens de fem andre er vanninjeksjonsbrønner. Eldfisk Nord skal knyttes tilbake til Eldfisk-senteret i Nordsjøen. Ressurspotensialet er estimert til å være i størrelsesorden 50-90 millioner fat oljeekvivalenter. De nye installasjonene på havbunnen lokaliseres rundt sju kilometer nord for Eldfisk-senteret.  

Totale investeringer tilknyttet prosjektet er estimert til rundt 10,5 milliarder kroner (USD 1,2 milliarder), og første produksjon er ventet i 2024. Utslippsintensiteten for klimagasser i Eldfisk Nord-prosjektet er estimert til sju kilo CO2 per fat oljeekvivalent.  

- Vi er glade for å oppnå enda en milepæl i Ekofisk-området. Eldfisk Nord-prosjektet vil benytte ledig kapasitet for prosessering og transport i eksisterende infrastruktur, redusere utslippsintensiteten for klimagasser, øke utvinningen av ressurser og bidra til økt verdiskaping fra Eldfisk-feltet, sier Steinar Våge, ConocoPhillips’ regiondirektør for Europa, Midtøsten og Nord-Afrika.  

Kontraktstildelinger i prosjektet er estimert til å skape 4.000-4.500 jobber. Mer enn 80 prosent av kontraktsverdien for både utbyggings- og driftsfasene vil gå til bedrifter med norsk adresse. Totalt vil dette skape ringvirkninger i en rekke lokalsamfunn.  

ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS er operatør for Eldfisk-feltet i PL 018 med 35,112 prosent eierinteresse, mens TotalEnergies EP Norge AS (39,896 %), Vår Energi ASA (12,388 %), Equinor AS (7,604 %) og Petoro AS (5,000 %) er partnere.  

Om Eldfisk-feltet
Eldfisk-feltet ble oppdaget i 1970 og opprinnelig plan for utbygging og drift ble godkjent i 1975. En ny plan for utbygging og drift ble godkjent for Eldfisk II-prosjektet i 2011. Eldfisk-reservoaret består av frakturert kalk som hovedsakelig inneholder olje, som andre felt i Ekofisk-området.
