About 100,000 tons of deck cargo and 250,000 tons of liquids are transported from the base each year, with a value of about 10 billion Norwegian kroner. About 95 per cent of the deliveries are from companies with an address in Norway.

The installations in the Greater Ekofisk Area are integrated in a shared electrical grid to optimize energy use and reduce emissions. The fields are also connected by pipelines used to export hydrocarbons. Gas is transported from Ekofisk via a 440-kilometer pipeline to Emden in Germany, where Gassco is the operator. Oil is sent via a 354-kilometer pipeline to Teesside in the UK, where ConocoPhillips is the operator. We also operate the terminal in Teesside, which receives volumes from a number of fields in the North Sea, including fields on the UK side.

The terminal in Teesside is located at Seal Sands in Middlesbrough in the UK. It receives oil and natural gas liquids through the Norpipe Oil pipeline. The receiving facility consists of a process plant and storage tanks for crude oil, in addition to a port for shipment.

O
il and natural gas liquids are transported via Norpipe Oil, received at the terminal and then separated. The oil undergoes a stabilization process before it is stored and then loaded on board tankers for further transport to the company's customers. Each of the ten storage tanks has a capacity of 750,000 barrels. Natural gas liquids is separated into methane, ethane, propane and butane. Methane is used as fuel for the terminal, while the other products are cooled to liquid and stored in insulated tanks and vessels awaiting shipment.

The jetty area has three facilities used to load oil to tankers with a deadweight tonnage of up to 160,000 tons, and three dedicated facilities for Natural Gas Liquids.
