Steinar began his career in 1988 holding various engineering roles in Norway. From 1995 to 2004, he held staff and managerial positions at Phillips Petroleum’s headquarters in Oklahoma, in the UK and Norway. From 2004 to 2015, he was general manager of Heavy Oil Joint Ventures in Venezuela, managing director of ConocoPhillips Norway and president of ConocoPhillips Europe. From 2015 to 2020, he was senior vice president at ConocoPhillips’ headquarters in Houston, with global responsibility for several technical functions and supply chain. He assumed his current role in 2020. Steinar has a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering and a Master of Science in reservoir engineering.

Kurt Fredheim

Manager, HSE, Sustainable Development and Low Carbon Technologies Europe and Africa

With 35 years of industry experience, 10 years internationally, Kurt has held a number of leadership roles at ConocoPhillips. Prior to joining the Norway business unit as manager HSE, Sustainable Development and Low Carbon Technologies in 2023, he was general manager for the Teesside Operations in the UK. Before this, he worked in various positions in Norway and Houston, including operations manager for the Greater Ekofisk Area, manager for Global Production at the ConocoPhillips’ headquarters in Houston and Offshore Installation Manager at the Ekofisk field. Kurt has a Master of Science in petroleum engineering.

Elin R. Gundersen

Managing Counsel, Europe, Middle East and Africa

Elin began her career in 1984 and has worked in Norway, Switzerland and Sweden. She has held roles such as sales representative, European customer service manager, deputy judge in the Court of Justice in Falun, and senior lawyer in a business law firm. She joined ConocoPhillips in 2001 and assumed her current role in 2020. She has served on the board of an insurance company, a pension fund and a bank and is a member of several legal committees. Elin earned her Master of Laws from the University of Uppsala in 1993 and passed an exam in Maritime, Transportation and Energy Insurance Law at the Norwegian Insurance Academy in 1996. She has published a professional article in a Norwegian insurance journal on curtailment of insurance due to gross negligence.

Ingunn M. H. Hagelin

Manager, HR, Medical, Communications and Facilities Europe and Africa

Ingunn is responsible for the Human Resources, Medical, Communications and Facilities functions for Europe and Africa, including Medical for the Middle East. She serves on the board of the ConocoPhillips Norway Pension Fund and ConocoPhillips UK Holdings Ltd. Ingunn joined ConocoPhillips in 2012 as director HR Business Partners and Staffing. She has been in her current role since 2015. Prior to joining ConocoPhillips, Ingunn held various management roles, primarily within the HR area. Her experience covers businesses such as finance and banking, retail, organizational development, manning and executive search. Ingunn earned her bachelor’s degree in personnel and leadership from the University of Stavanger.

Tor Inge Hansen

Manager, Capital Projects Europe and Africa

Tor Inge came to ConocoPhillips in 2008 and has held several leadership positions. Before entering his current role in 2015, he was manager Capital Projects and Supply Chain, Norway from 2014 to 2015. Tor Inge was project manager for the Eldfisk II project including the Eldfisk 2/7 S platform from 2009 to 2014. Before Tor Inge joined ConocoPhillips, he worked in various roles in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project- and business management for oil and gas in Aker Solutions. He has a master’s degree in industrial engineering, business and technology management from the Technical University of Berlin.

General Manager, Norway Partner Operated Assets, IT, Commercial and Business Development, Europe

David has 35 years of E&P industry experience around the globe, including assignments in Norway, Malaysia, the US, the UK and United Arab Emirates. He joined the company in 1993. Prior to his current position in Norway, David was president of ConocoPhillips Malaysia. He has also held management roles with responsibility for Greater Ekofisk Operations in Norway, as development manager for major capital projects in Norway, in Corporate Planning in Houston, and as head of Global Gas LNG Strategy. David graduated with a master’s degree in physics from Cambridge University and earned an MBA from INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France.

General Manager, Operated Assets Europe

Vincent is responsible for the development and operations of the Greater Ekofisk Area in the North Sea and the Teesside Oil Terminal in the United Kingdom. Vincent has 20 years of experience working with ConocoPhillips in Norway, Houston and Alaska. A reservoir engineer by background, he has held several leadership roles in L48 and Alaska in Subsurface, Operations and Development. Before that, he worked in the Corporate planning team as Director, upstream strategy. A native of France, Vincent earned a Master of Science degree from École Centrale de Lyon and a Master of Science in petroleum engineering from NTNU, Trondheim in Norway.

Manager, Finance Europe and Africa

Eli began her career with the company in 1988 and has worked in several locations globally. She joined the Norway business unit leadership team in 2022. Eli has held a variety of positions, including Financial Reporting & Analysis Director North Sea business unit, Production & Revenue Accounting director in Bartlesville, controller roles for the Norway and Canada business units, and lead of Accounting on the nxtgenERP project in Houston. She received a college degree in economics in 1988, and later a bachelor’s degree in management from BI Norwegian School of Management, and an executive MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
