Technology and technology development are important – but not goals unto themselves. Technology, in the form of advanced IT equipment, fibre optic cables, various software and so on, enables and facilitates the safe production of oil and gas efficiently and at optimal cost. IO contributes to increased value creation.
In 2002, the Onshore Drilling Centre, ODC, opened at the Tananger office, as the first of its kind. This also marked the start of a massive commitment in integrated operations and the development of our operating model.
ConocoPhillips continuously works to improve the operations center at the Tananger office. The work includes various disciplines ranging from production, operations optimization, well monitoring and telecommunications to HSE. In the centers, activities and processes in connection with operations and maintenance are managed, monitored, planned and optimized along with new projects.
